Concentrations- Violence against women & Social work
I’m a certified rape-crisis counselor for the Everywoman’s Center at UMass, Amherst. I worked for two years on their crisis hot-line as well as co-facilitating a support group and one-on-one counseling for survivors of sexual assault.
My motivation for creating this space comes from my understanding of the ways in which survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, incest and child sexual abuse are silenced on a daily basis. Every survivor deserves to be heard, every soul deserves to speak out.
My hope is that survivors are able to experience empowerment, connectedness and healing through sharing their stories and creativity in a safe space.
